# How To Install Morning Star Floating Bamboo Flooring

Are you looking for an easy way to upgrade your home or office space? Installing bamboo flooring is a great way to add a modern and stylish touch to any room. Morning Star’s line of floating bamboo flooring is an excellent choice for a hassle-free installation and lasting quality. Read on to learn how you can easily install this unique flooring yourself.

## What You Need for Installation

Installing bamboo flooring isn’t complicated, but there are some tools and materials you’ll need to ensure a successful installation:

* Tape measure

* Pencil or marker

* Saw to cut planks

* Hammer/pull bar

* Moisture barrier

* Spacers

* Underlayment padding

* Morning Star floating bamboo flooring planks

## Preparing the Subfloor for Installation

Before you can begin installing your new bamboo flooring, you’ll need to make sure that the subfloor is in good condition. Check for any loose boards, bumps, or uneven areas that could cause the planks to not sit properly. If the subfloor is concrete, make sure it is dry and free of any debris. If necessary, use a moisture barrier like polyethylene film or a vapor retarder to prevent moisture from damaging your new flooring.

Once the subfloor is prepared, it’s time to start laying down the underlayment padding. This padding will provide additional cushion and insulation for the flooring planks, so be sure to use the appropriate type for your particular subfloor. The padding should overlap by at least 3 inches on each side before being secured with staples or tape.

## Installing the Planks

Now that your subfloor is prepared, you can begin installing the bamboo planks. Start by laying out several planks end to end along one wall, leaving a small gap between each plank (around 1/4 inch). This gap will allow for natural expansion of the wood caused by temperature and humidity changes. Use spacers between each plank and along the walls to ensure that the gap remains clear.

Once you have laid out your first row of planks, it’s time to secure them in place. Use a hammer and pull bar to gently tap down any edges that are not flush with the rest of the planks. Once they are secure, use a saw to cut the planks down to size if needed. After each row is installed, be sure to check for any gaps between planks and adjust accordingly. Repeat until all your Morning Star floating bamboo flooring has been successfully installed.

## Finishing Touches

When all your bamboo planks have been laid down and secured in place, you can begin adding any finishing touches you’d like. Consider adding trim around doorways or along walls where the boards meet up with other surfaces, such as tile or carpeting. You can also add baseboards or shoe moldings around the perimeter of the room for extra protection against water damage and wear-and-tear over time.

## Enjoy Your New Flooring!

Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed your own Morning Star floating bamboo flooring and now have beautiful new floors in your home or office space. With proper maintenance and care, your new flooring should last for many years to come. Enjoy!
